Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week

The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County is celebrating Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week from April 20-24, 2020, to recognize, appreciate and advocate for those who work with young people during out-of-school hours.

We are joining the effort because we believe Afterschool Professionals make a profound difference in the lives of young people. We encourage you to join us in thanking the afterschool professionals in your life.

Here are some ideas on how you to show your appreciation to our staff:

  • Show your support on Social Media.

    • Give a shoutout to the staff member you’d like to recognize. Explain why you or your child are thankful for them and the impact they’ve had in your life. Be sure to use #HeartOfAfterSchool and tag “@BGCWCOH” and we might feature you on our page.

  • Mail a hand-written card from you and/or your child to the afterschool professional in your life.

    • Mail to BGCWC (Address)

    • C/O the staff member the letter is to

  • Send an email to Ms. Becca and tell them why the staff member you picked to highlight is important to you.
